Calling All OGs

This one’s for my OGs.

The people who’ve been around for a while - who’ve logged thousands of workouts, seen every iteration of “the new thing,” maybe even gotten jaded for a bit, but somehow found their way back into the gym.

You’ve been through the ringer.
You’ve pushed your limits, fed your ego, learned your lessons, and (hopefully) matured along the way. And now, you have something incredibly valuable to offer - you get to be the ICON, the example, the leader.

Here’s the deal:

You need to be the one who sets the tone for what a capable, seasoned athlete looks like in their next chapter.

That means you scale when it’s appropriate. You hit the intended stimulus. You move like a baller. You know when to push and when to pull back. You show the others around you how its done.

Not because you can’t do it - but because you’ve learned what happens when you go beyond your capacity and you dont need to be that person anymore. You’ve earned that wisdom through experience.

Every gym needs this kind of leadership.
We need the quiet presence of the veteran who walks in without ego but with all the capability in the world. The person who once went heavier, faster, or harder… but doesn’t (unless appropriate) - because they understand longevity, humility, and purpose.

That’s real strength.

So to all my OGs: step up.
Be the culture shapers. Be the gym mayors.
Show the next generation that it’s not just about proving you can - it’s about choosing when you should.

Because that’s what CrossFit is really about:

Consistency, humility, and being able to walk out of the gym and say yes to life.
